The hose reel is recognized by workers who have lost their jobs involuntarily and presenting jointly with the following requirements:

• are unemployed;
• may rely, in the four years preceding the beginning of the period of unemployment, at least 13 weeks of unemployment insurance contributions;
• may rely 30 days of actual work in the 12 months preceding the beginning of the period of unemployment.

The reels are paid monthly, for a number of weeks equal to half the weeks of contribution in the last four years.

To receive the child workers eligible must present, only electronically, special application to INPS within the time-limit of 68 days after termination of employment.
